Matter for Consideration: To consider applications under the Area Forum/Ward Grants Schemes | |
Information: The Council's delegated budgets scheme allocates budgets of £20,000 to each Ward and the Area Forums have been awarded budgets equivalent to £7,500 per ward covered for the financial year 2013/2014. The funding for either scheme can be spent on supplementing funding public services, for the benefit of the local community. Councillors Mrs Callow and Callow of Norbreck Ward have requested £1,300 to Achieving Communities Together for the annual administration costs for the provision of the Social Club at St Teresa's. Councillors Campbell and Doherty of Park Ward have requested £100 as a donation to the Local Committee of the Shrine to assist with cost of holding a Veterans event at the Shrine on Whinney Heys Road. Councillors Cox and Green of Squires Gate Ward have requested a contribution of £1,000 to St Marys 23rd Scout Group towards the general running costs of the Scout Group. Councillors Evans and Stansfield of Stanley Ward have requested £2,275 for the purchase and installation of an alley gate on Willowbank Avenue, to include £275 estimated advertising costs. Councillors Collett and Matthews of Tyldesley Ward have requested: (i) £500 as a donation to Blackpool Music Academy that will allow them to continue with their community building activities in part of Tyldesley Ward by purchasing new equipment. (ii) £500 as a donation to Blackpool Symphony Orchestra that will allow them to continue with their community involvement activities in parts of Tyldesley Ward by an Outreach Project, orchestra publicity and promotion, and Composer in Residence. | |
